Help Desk IT Specialist

iMedia Technology is looking for a full time experienced Help Desk Analyst (sometimes called an IT Specialist) to join their team. In this role you will be working directly with clients and support staff. You will be responsible for answering user requests and resolving problems for computer software, remote access, and hardware inquiries.

As an IT Specialist, you have a combination of problem-solving and people skills. Even if you don’t know the answer to a problem, your critical thinking skill will help you find a solution. You will work on 15 to 20 support sessions daily, have strong documentation skills, and practice good time management. Working with a range of people from network engineers, help desk staff, and end users allows you to solve problems swiftly in a team environment. You demonstrate politeness, patience and understanding. You’re also good at adapting to new techniques and technologies and can evolve with the job role.

Your job duties can vary though your primary role is supporting end users on our client’s networks. You will be involved in:

  • Predominately providing remote end user support
  • Occasional onsite visits to clients in southeastern MA
  • Setup hardware and software for client use ensuring proper configuration of Windows 7/10
  • Provide end user training
  • Escalating incidents and working with senior staff to resolve problems
