Letter from the President

As the Cape Cod Technology Council moves into its second decade, I am eager to be part of its future. If this past year is any indication of future performance, I am confident in the prospect of many more productive and exciting decades. I am proud to be a part of this vibrant and creative group and have every hope that the next year will prove to be as exciting as the past year.

When I look at an organization like the Technology Council, I see a committed group of member companies that have invested in its success. I see the board as the stewards of the trust that the members have in the organization to make it a worthwhile investment. Again this year we have recruited a world-class slate of directors to augment our existing team of diverse and dedicated board members. It is those long term directors that remind us of where the organization has been and how to help build on the past to ensure a bright future.

The Council has built a reputation of developing inspiring programs of work and this coming year will be no exception. We can look forward to thoughtful and evocative speakers at our First Friday breakfast series and continued involvement in STEM initiatives including our groundbreaking Junior Tech Council and its cutting edge programming.

In the spirit of this year’s theme, we have a series of new ventures that we hope to spawn, built upon the success of Technology Council projects last year. I continue to be enthusiastic and encouraged by the partnership formed with the Cape Cod Community College last year.

Of course all of this could not be possible if it was not for the committed and creative staff of the Technology Council including Amy, Phyllis and Susan under the capable and innovative leadership of Teresa and I thank them for their hard work and dedication to the organization.
