Lou Russo
Vice President Government Affairs, Comcast
Lou Russo serves as vice president of government affairs for Comcast in Southeastern Massachusetts, serving 89 communities south of Boston, including Cape Cod and the Islands. She is responsible for overseeing all aspects of strategic policy development, franchise negotiations, government relations, regulatory compliance and contract administration. In addition, Ms. Russo oversees her region’s community investment and Comcast Foundation philanthropic decision making. Educated at Bridgewater State College, she began her career in the telecommunications industry in video production in 1985. She has held various studio and community relations management positions with Continental Cablevision and MediaOne, transitioning to government relations with AT&T Broadband and Comcast.
Ms. Russo has been active in community service for many years, and recently served as the first woman Chairman of the Board of Directors for the MetroSouth Chamber of Commerce. She has been a past Chairman of MY TURN, Inc., a non–profit serving teens at risk, and has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Old Colony Girl Scouts Council, the Governance Committee of the United Way, and the Rotary Club. In 2004, Ms. Russo was recognized as a “Leading Woman” by the Girl Scouts of America.
When not traveling or visiting her children in California, she resides in Hanson with her husband.
