Technology in Health Care: it’s not just about medical services

Presenter: John Campbell

When one says “technology in health care” we tend to conjure up images of MRIs, surgery performed with lasers, and other advances that have improved the delivery and quality of medical service.

But technology in health care is far more than this. John Campbell, Chief Information Officer of Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospitals of Boston and Cape Cod, part of Partners Healthcare, will talk about technology’s influence in helping to control health care costs and on healthcare reform, the U.S. position in healthcare services and costs, and how technology can help through the Electronic Medical Record, Health Information Exchanges, telemedicine, and other cutting edge technologies being introduced.
