CapeNet LLC: bringing OpenCape to the end-user
Presented by Tony DaSilva, CapeNet LLC

 

For First Friday October 7 Tony DaSilva will provide an update from CapeNet LLC, the company dedicated to the design, construction and operation of the OpenCape fiber optic network.  He will touch on the timetable for installation, the fiber path, service availability, and services to be offered by the company.

CapeNet LLC is a joint venture between Telecom Global, Inc. (TGI) and CapeNet Partners, Inc. TGI is a leading international telecommunications engineering, development, construction and operations company. CapeNet Partners is comprised of a group of seasoned, professional managers who have extensive experience in building, managing, and developing telecommunications networks nationally.

About the presenter: DaSilva has a far-reaching, diversified background in the Information Technology industry. He has extensive experience in sales, marketing, and business development and has worked with a number of Fortune 100 companies including Digital Equipment Corporation, Fidelity, Citibank, General Dynamics, DoD, and the NSA.

DaSilva attended Northeastern University and completed INSEAD University’s Executive Development Program. He is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). When asked what he sees as an emerging technology in the next 5 years he replied “Mobility – especially the impact of smartphones and tablets that will change how people use and view computing resources.”
