The Associate QA Analyst position is a full-time, junior-level entry position into the QA department. This position is designed for an individual who has no prior experience in QA, but demonstrates the aptitude and ability to train into a QA Analyst position. Primary responsibility is to learn the standard QA processes and procedures within the QA department, and assist the QA Analysts in providing quality web pages and interfaces to internal and external clients.
Essential Functions:
- Work with QA Manager and QA Analysts to train on team processes, tools, and procedures
- Perform hands-on functional product testing, problem reporting and issue resolution
- Inspect business and functional requirements while working with test plans
- Assist Engineering teams in troubleshooting issues identified in testing
- Responsible for ensuring that all appropriate testing has taken place before web sites are released to clients
- Work with Product Development and Business Team in maintaining quality assurance standards for all new product development and enhancements
- Attend all event process meetings and company meetings
- Submit daily, weekly, and monthly status reports of projects to management
- Assist the QA Analyst as the contact for other departments regarding QA support and initiatives
- Other departmental duties as assigned by supervisor
Skills:
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office products
- SQL and/or Access database experience preferred
- Excellent oral and written English communication skills
- Must have a passion for software testing and finding bugs in software prior to deployment
- Highly organized self-starter with demonstrated attention to detail
- Strong analytical skills and ability to portray information in a logical, well organized manner
- Strong work ethic and commitment to the client solution and deliverables
- Ability to perform under pressure in fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
