Join the Family Business Association and the Southern New England Entrepreneurs Forum (SNEEF) is joining forces with The Family Business Association to co-sponsor a program “Family Business and Innovation” on Thursday, May 10, Advanced Technology and Manufacturing Center, 151 Martine Street, Fall River.

Innovation drives businesses of all sizes, including family owned companies.  Whether it is developing new products, offering intriguing new services or developing new business processes, every business must continue to create and evolve in order to survive and thrive.

Founded in 1880, Blount is a custom foods company creating soups, gourmet prepared foods and unique clam products.  Its facilities in Fall River and in Warren, RI create a product line that includes gourmet soups, sauces, dips and spreads for food service and retail under the Blount, Legal Sea Foods and Panera Bread brands.

Bulman, the daughter of Founder and Chairman Jack Conway, has had more than 20 years of experience in her family’s firm, which is one of the largest independently owned real estate companies

in New England.  Jack Conway currently has 42 offices from the North Shore to Cape Cod.

John Matouk & Company designs and manufactures high quality linens for its passionate and discerning clientele around the world.  Mrs. Edsel  Ford purchased $75,000 of Matouk linens in 1933. George Matouk Jr. represents the company’s third generation of family stewardship at this Fall River company.

Established in 1887, Snow’s Home and Garden in Orleans and Harwich is now a fifth generation family business.  The store is known for having a large assortment of everyday and specialty items for the home and garden, unsurpassed customer service as well as a full service fuel department.

Harris is co-founder of WH Cornerstone Investments in Duxbury.  She is a frequent speaker and author who focuses on helping women obtain financial peace of mind and independence.  With her husband Bill Harris, they provide financial planning and investment management services to many small business owners.
