January 9, 2015 @ 7:30 am - 9:00 am

Technology to Clean Wastewater, Provide Aquaculture and Energy is Focus of Cape Cod Technology Council January Second Friday Breakfast

Brian Braginton-Smith, President of AquaGen Integrated Systems in South Yarmouth, will discuss his firm’s fascinating technology to convert wastewater into clean, super oxygenated water that speeds the growth of aquaculture such as salad greens and herbs, while also producing energy and fertilizer and other by-products at the January “First Friday” breakfast of the Cape Cod Technology Council.  Due to the New Year’s holiday weekend, the breakfast, open to the public, will be held on Friday, January 9 from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the Hyannis Golf Club on Route 132, Hyannis.

Brian, who has been president of AquaGen since November, 2011, earlier became Executive Director of the Lewis Bay Research Center which is engaged in the study of coastal ecosystems and the impacts and mitigation of human population centers and development on the marine environment.  Earlier he served on the Yarmouth Board of Health.

The CCTC event includes networking and a hot breakfast followed by the presentation and questions and answers.  The advance purchase charge for members in $15, while there is a $20 charge for non-members.  After noon on the prior Wednesday to the event, the fees increase by $5.  To sign up or to obtain more information on CCTC visit the website at capecodtechcouncil.org.
