Cape Cod Community Media Center adapts and serves during the COVID-19 Crisis

In our continuing series of CCTC members coping with the COVID-19 pandemic, the Cape Cod Community Media Center shares how they are adapting their services to continue to fulfill their mission.

The Cape Cod Community Media Center, the public access TV station for the mid-Cape, has closed our doors for now, but we continue to serve the community remotely. We are encouraging our members and the public to submit video content to be aired on channel 99, even if it is cellphone video, to share and promote important community information.

Our Executive Director, Terry Duenas, has taken this opportunity to complete an update of our cablecast server. The new server will allow us to stream live videos from social media and YouTube directly to channel 99, expanding our ability to air live content.

Cape Media News continues to create hyperlocal news content, though not in its typical half-hour weekly show. Access CMN’s plethora of virtual interviews, stories, and articles on their Facebook page and our Video On Demand site.

Our other staff are diligently creating video content for channel 99, including a special resurrection of Cape Escapes, which features video landscapes and seascapes of our beautiful region. Find those videos on demand as well.

If you would like to share video content or community information on channel 99, please contact izzi@nullcapemedia.org. Find more information about the Media Center at capemedia.org.
