CCTC COVID-19 Response & Resources

Gov. Baker order non-essential services closed on Tuesday, Mar 24

Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker today ordered non-essential businesses to close by noon on Tuesday. Details of the order can be found at Mass.gov and includes links to the Emergency Order, a list of COVID-19 Essential Services, and current guidelines on assemblies.

CCTC Event Updates

The Cape Cod Technology Council takes the health of our members and guests seriously. All events into early May will be moved online, postponed, or canceled. This includes:

  • April First Friday is canceled and rescheduled for July
  • Annual Meeting – scheduled for April 29 to be rescheduled for a later date
  • EarthTech Expo – scheduled for May 2 to be rescheduled for a later date

Ocean Protection Advocacy Kids is offering free Student Ocean Webinars via Zoom for teachers looking for distance learning opportunities for their students.

LogMeIn, makers of GoToMeeting, are offering free use of their collaboration software for certain nonprofits, health care providers, municipalities and educational institutions.

Zoom has free video conference tools for small groups, and packages for larger requirements. Check out their COVID-19 Support page for more info on setting up and joining Zoom meetings.
