April 8, 2019

The Honorable Richard E. Neal
Chairman, House Ways and Means Committee
United States House of Representatives
2309 Rayburn House Office Building
45 Independence Avenue, SW
Washington, D.C. 20525

Dear Congressman Neal,

I am writing on behalf of the Cape Cod Technology Council, Inc. (“CCTC”) to support the efforts of the Coalition for the Fix obtain federal funding for replacement of the 83+ year old Sagamore and Bourne Bridges. The CCTC is a member of the Coalition and recognizes  Cape Cod residents and businesses depend on predictable and efficient travel over the Cape Cod Canal for economic well-being as safety during medical emergencies and natural disasters. The current bridges are rated “structurally deficient” or “functionally obsolete” and qualify for replacement under federal guidelines.

Founded in 1996, the CCTC is a membership based non-profit organization whose mission is to promote technology, education and economic development on Cape Cod, the Islands, and Southeastern Massachusetts. Our membership includes local Cape, Islands, and Southeastern Massachusetts businesses, technology innovators, educational organizations, government entities, working professionals, and community leaders.

The Cape Cod Technology Council views this as an important Cape Cod based project, and one that is highly worthy of our support.

Respectfully,

John Hawley, President
Cape Cod Technology Council, Inc.
