At the January meeting, the Infrastructure Committee updated members on grid modernization.
To comply with an order from the Massachusetts Department of Public Utilities, Eversource must update its grid modernization plan. Grid reliability has been a longstanding concern of the committee. It is the committee’s hope that in modernizing the grid Eversource will incorporate new technologies, providing for greater resiliency. The deadline for comment is unknown, as the DPU is convening a committee to manage the process.
Smarter Cape is targeting fall of 2016 for Summit 6. Topics this year will include the Blue Economy.
The Infrastructure Committee meets at 9am on the third Wednesday of the month. All are welcome to attend.
