Feb 9: SNEEF- Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the ATMC, with a case study on Clean Energy Innovations

“Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the ATMC, with a case study on Clean Energy Innovations” will be the topic at the Southern New England Entrepreneurs Forum (SNEEF) at UMass Dartmouth on Thursday, February 9, 5:30 p.m., Advanced Technology and Manufacturing Center (ATMC), 151 Martine Street, Fall River.

Amit Basnet, Liaison Associate at the ATMC, will moderate the case study of Clean Energy Innovations.  Located in the ATMC, Clean Energy Innovations develops and markets a proprietary process capable of delivering an increase of at 25% extracted from a battery during one discharge cycle.  CEO Larry LaFranchi, CEO of Clean Energy Innovations, will describe how Clean Energy Innovations utilizes innovation and entrepreneurship to develop and market this process.

LaFranchi is an executive with broad experience in financial and operating roles for senior management teams.  His financial roles include company CFO or Controller for major business units up to $200 million in revenue.  His operational roles include President for a start-up and management for planning and procurement for internal manufacturing and outsourced manufacturing services.  His industry experience includes clean energy, professional services, semiconductor technology, and manufacturing for public, private, and venture financed companies operating globally.  LaFranchi has degrees from UCLA and MIT’s Sloan School of Management.

Panelists will address the innovation and entrepreneurship issues at Clean Energy Innovations through the areas of legal, finance, and sales and marketing.  The panelists are:

  • Will Shain, President and CEO of DIRAmed
